Biography
Märta Valborg Rockström-Lindh (1904–1996) was a Swedish artist renowned for her expertise in metalwork and sculpture, particularly as a ciselör (chaser). Born in Norberg, Sweden, she trained under the esteemed Lisa Andersson-Morell, mastering intricate metalworking techniques. She married Alf Lindh in 1935, aligning her career with his legacy as the nephew of celebrated artist Kopparlisa. A prominent member of the Arvika Konsthantverk association, Rockström-Lindh created notable public works, including the "Springbrunnen" (Fountain) at the Tingshuset in Arvika. Her artistry earned her a place in the collection of the National Museum in Stockholm, cementing her influence in Swedish decorative arts. Her legacy endures through her exquisite craftsmanship and contributions to public art, reflecting a lifelong dedication to beauty and tradition.
